Accessibility

Built to be usable by everyone.

What we've done, what's still in progress, and how to tell us when something doesn't work.

Our Commitment

We want The Overspray Effect™ — the website, the course, and the assessments — to be usable by everyone, including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, rely on captions, or need reduced motion. Accessibility is ongoing work, not a one-time checkbox, and we treat it that way.

The Standard We Aim For

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We haven’t completed a formal third-party accessibility audit, so we don’t claim full certified conformance — this is a statement of intent and ongoing effort, not a guarantee that every page meets every criterion today.

What We've Done So Far

  • Visible keyboard-focus indicators on interactive elements, so keyboard navigation stays trackable.
  • Respect for your device’s reduced-motion setting — animations are minimized or removed when you’ve asked your system for that.
  • Descriptive alt text on meaningful images.
  • Semantic HTML headings and landmarks to support screen-reader navigation.
  • A light/dark theme with attention to text contrast in both.

Known Limitations

Some parts of the site are still catching up, and some are outside our direct control:

  • Course video content doesn’t have captions yet on every walkthrough.
  • Checkout is hosted by Stripe on their own domain — we don’t control that page’s accessibility directly, though Stripe publishes its own accessibility commitments.
  • Some older interactive lesson blocks haven’t had a dedicated accessibility pass yet; we’re working through them.

Feedback & Assistance

If you hit a barrier using this site — something doesn’t work with your screen reader, keyboard, or assistive technology, or you need content in a different format — email us at info@oversprayeffect.com. Tell us the page and what happened; we read every report and prioritize fixes by real impact, not just convenience.

Changes to This Statement

We’ll update this page as our accessibility work progresses. If we make a material change, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top.
