Approach

We built this because we saw what happens when leadership goes unexamined.

Organizations don't drift by accident. They drift because leaders — capable, well-intentioned, high-performing leaders — were never given a way to see the full reach of their influence.

Why we built it

We set out to solve a problem that was making us restless.

Organizations were investing heavily in leadership development, and leaders were still — quietly, consistently, often without realizing it — creating cultures they didn’t intend. Coaching produced individual insights that evaporated the moment a leader returned to the system that shaped their behavior. Training taught skills in a vacuum, with no account of how leadership behavior actually travels through an organization.

The people we spoke with — executives, coaches, HR and OD leaders — knew something was missing. They just couldn’t name it. The question we kept returning to was simple: “Who told you that what you do only affects the people in front of you?” Because it doesn’t. It never has.

Our mission is simple and non-negotiable: help leaders see the full reach of their influence — and help them choose it, deliberately, every time.

Our approach

Four commitments shape everything we design and deliver.

01

Holistic

We don't treat leadership as a collection of isolated competencies trained in sequence. We look at the whole leader — their history, context, patterns, and system — and design for the whole picture.

02

Experience Based

The Five Dimensions of Presence™ is grounded in organizational behavior research, leadership science, and social systems theory. We apply that foundation with discipline and measure outcomes with rigor.

03

Human-centered

Leaders are not problems to be fixed. They are people doing one of the hardest jobs in any organization. We approach that reality with respect, directness, and care.

04

Strategically grounded

Every conversation and every session connects back to a simple question: does this make leaders more effective in the real world they operate in? If not, we don't teach it.

Our mission

To help leaders at every level see the full reach of their influence — and build the courage, clarity, and capability to make it transformational.

01

Radical clarity

Clarity is an act of respect. In our work and our communication, we say what we mean — directly, honestly, without corporate softening — and we help leaders do the same. Ambiguity is expensive; clarity is a competency that can be built.

02

Accountable influence

Every leader is responsible for the influence they generate, regardless of their intentions. Accountability here is not punitive. It is the highest form of professional respect: the belief that leaders are capable of seeing themselves clearly and choosing something better.

03

Lasting change, not fast answers

The development industry runs on quick frameworks and memorable acronyms. We are interested in the kind of change still visible in a team's culture two years on. That takes depth, patience, and rigor — and it attracts clients who want the same.

Working together

Self-paced, small-group, or one-on-one — by appointment, in confidence.

The Overspray Effect™ is offered as a self-paced course, in small-group cohorts, and through one-on-one coaching — held online, by appointment, in confidence. We start by looking honestly at where your influence is currently going — and where it's going without your intending it — and build from there.

A practitioner certification pathway is in development. We’ll share more when it’s ready — without overstating what it is before then.

Ready to see what your leadership is actually creating?

Whether you’re curious about your own influence footprint, a coach looking to expand your practice, or an organization ready for cultural change — the first conversation is free, and it’s always worth having.
